How to reach

Agonda beach is located in Canacona, South Goa, about 9.2 kms north of Palolem Beach. It is well connected by road and railway to the other Goa towns and cities. As it is one of the most preferred beaches to visit, due to its solitude, one can expect a lot of foreigners and honeymooners throughout the year. One can take a prepaid taxi or auto rickshaw to reach this place.

By Air

The nearest airport to Agondais Dabolim, which is around 67kms away. International tourists arrive from the Vasco Da Gama international airport.

By Road

Canacona (or locally also known as Chaudi) is the nearest city to Agonda. Frequent bus services are available from Canacona to Agonda, almost every 20 minutes. They start from morning 7.30 and continue till somewhere around 6 in the evening. If one prefers, one can take an auto rickshaw or taxi, based on their convenience.

By Train

The nearest railway station to Agonda beachis the Canacona Railway station. Margao railway junction is just 30 minutes away from theCanacona.

Things to do

If you plan on visiting Agonda beach in or around the month of September, you can surely expect to see an olive ridley sea turtle on the beach. Agonda is one of only four beaches to be registered as turtle nesting ground under the Coastal Regulation Zone 2011 notification. For those looking to party, they have to travel for ten minutes towards Palolem. The best thing that can be done at Agonda itself is relaxing and sun-bathing.
