PARASAILING – Spreading your wings in Goa
What are the things that come to your mind when you say Goa? Beach, shacks, parties and adventure water sports, right? In the recent years, Goa has developed itself as one of the most popular vacation destinations in India. One of the reasons for that is the exclusive water adventure sports one can enjoy in Goa. Goa has now become a hub for all water adventure sports like windsurfing, parasailing, scuba-diving, kite surfing and what not. In fact, parasailing is one of the most popular things to do in Goa. The thrill of gliding in the air with a parachute at the back is one of the most mesmerizing experiences one can have.
What is parasailing?
Parasailing, also known as para-kiting, is a recreational kiting activity where a person is towed behind a vehicle (usually a motor boat or a land vehicle) while attached to a specially designed canopy wing that resembles a parachute, known as parasail wing. The harness attaches the pilot to the parasail which is connected to the boat or vehicle by the tow rope. The vehicle then drives off carrying the parascender and person into the air. The parascender has little or no control over the parachute. One can feel the rush with the sea breeze whipping through your hair, with the vast blue ocean below and the sky above. Any special skills or expertise is not required to enjoy parasailing.
