Venite Bar and Restaurant is most talked about its ambience and old Goa charm than about anything else. The small restaurant is tucked in a narrow lane in Panaji, the interiors of which are most artistic, quaint, traditional and typically Goan. In Venite Bar and Restaurant there are small balconies dotted with a set of chair and table that overlook the street below, a completely romantic setting! Somehow these form the main attraction of the place. If possible, make reservations for the place to get the best seating place.
If you are a vegetarian, you might be a little disappointed by the limited choice of options they offer; however, the non-vegetarians will have a great time with the wide variety of delectable food that is popularly full of authentic flavors. The fish that is always served fresh here remains their USP! The other thing that cannot be missed is their signature style coconut coffee liqueur.
Just like the ambience, the food served here is also traditional and typically Goan. You cannot afford to miss on the customary Goan 16 layer cake, bebinca, spicy sausages and fish curry that are the most popular among the patrons here.

Venite Bar and Restaurant does not let you forget even for a moment that you are in Goa. Everything about the place, right from the decoration to architecture to food and cuisine is Portuguese and that is what Goa is all about. Will definitely visit the place again and recommend it to others as well.

I was surprised to see how this small family-run restaurant in a small, old house in Goa had everything unique to offer. There is no chance that you will not fall in love with the place. The decoration of the place speaks for itself. The food that was served was fresh and the portions were reasonable to. According to the portions of the food that was served the prices were very high. The feel of the balconies was very unique and lovely.

Even though the restaurant is positioned in a very narrow lane, it seems to be quite popular among the people since it is often crowded. The place is popular for steaks but I also liked the Red Snapper that I ordered. Sitting at the restaurant, you will feel nostalgic with the vibrations of old Goa that you get here. If you are staying close by, do visit the place at night as well since it has a completely different feel during the day and at night.
